Avoid arriving by private car. There will be no parking for the general public at the stadium or its immediate surroundings. Plan your trip ahead of time and take advantage of public transit and the special services arranged for match day.

Public transit recommended

The mobility plan offers several public-transit routes to reach the stadium; it's the recommended way to travel.

No general parking

There is no parking for the general public at the stadium or its immediate surroundings.

Road closures

- Full perimeter closure: from 6 hrs before kickoff
- Approximate reopening: 3 hrs after the final whistle, or when authorities deem it safe

Geofencing for taxis and apps

App-based services cannot start or end trips within the perimeter. They'll direct you to predefined points outside the zone.

Perimeter access

Only pedestrians, cyclists, and authorized vehicles may enter the Last Mile perimeter. See details in additional information.

Transportation options to the stadium

The mobility plan offers multiple options to reach Estadio Ciudad de México without using your car. Each option has specific departure points, an access method, and a final walking time to the stadium.

Tren Ligero

Direct service between Estación Tasqueña and the stadium station on match day. It's a direct option to reach the Estadio Ciudad de México area.

Access

Schedule

Special operation from 4 hours before kickoff. Direct Tasqueña–Estadio Azteca service, with no intermediate stops. The regular Tasqueña–Xochimilco service keeps running, but does not stop at Estación Estadio Azteca during the special operation.

AICM (Mexico City International Airport) has no direct service to the stadium.

If you arrive by taxi or ride-hailing app, you'll be dropped off at authorized points near the stadium. From there you'll walk to the stadium entrance.

STEP 1

Get your Tarjeta de Movilidad Integrada (MI Card)

You'll need the physical MI Card. It's the payment method for Metro, Metrobús, Tren Ligero, Trolebús and the special match-day services. Buy it and load enough balance before heading to the stadium.

The MI Card can be purchased and topped up in advance at Metro and Metrobús stations. It will also be sold and reloaded on match day at the Ride and Park & Ride boarding points.

STEP 2

Download your ticket before you leave

Have your FIFA ticket downloaded on your device before leaving your hotel. Mobile signal near the stadium may be limited in the hours before the match.

STEP 3

Arrive early

Some special services start operating 4 hours before kickoff. For the opening match, certain services start from 7:00 am. Allow for traffic, road closures, and heavier crowds on public transit.
